The Next Space Race

Well it turns out that the Air Force is all set to "secure space" and wants to be able to deliver defensive and OFFENSIVE space weapons. You know the Death Star sort of thing. One of the most amusing options under consideration is the "Rods from God" weapon which, you can't make this stuff up, releases heavy metal rods that zip down to the ground really really fast and destroy stuff with the force of a small nuke.

So the next time your looking up in the sky, and you see something odd streaking by, duck!

Nuclear Overload

Have you noticed that Nuclear is taking over the news. Three major Nuclear topics are in the news. One: The Nuclear option in the US Senate; Two: Korea plays games with Nuclear weapons; Three: Environmentalists think Nuclear energy might be OK to help fight global warming.

It's getting downright confusing.

So I figure a quick trip to news.google.com will help clarify the situation. HA!
It's even worse, we have the nuclear games of Korea not to be outdone by the Nuclear issues of Iran, with the Nuclear power is good for the environment folks, and last but not least the search in the Senate for a Non-Nuclear option.

It's exhausting trying to figure this stuff out. Just remember Laura Bush's line at the White House Correspondents dinner a month ago: "I can pronounce nuclear."
